And I just recently heard about that laser form of communication, right when you start getting things setup the way you want they come out with something better 😂 Still very tempted with the drone side of things, but I refuse to dabble in another project till I’ve accomplished what’s currently on my plate, mostly because I’m guilty of always having too much on my plate. One side project, cyber deck running Reticulum with rNode as w<truncated>

When we were all cooped up during winter we were real chatty. 😁 I've been building a 10 inch ArduPilot "ISR" drone. It's my first build so I've been busy with that. Trying to survive the smoke-pocalypse in the NW, too.

T969389 22h ago Guest-2700: Point - build your lora reticulum network for your own use, anyone else who connects/extends is a bonus. It's best as a self healing network of networks.
T969389 22h ago Guest-2700: reticulum can do far more than meshtastic/core and is of a better design, but tends to need real compute attached rather than only microcontrollers.
T969389yesterday 01:24 Guest: First time visiting this page. Trying to learn reticulum. Coming from the world of meshcore/tastic
T969389yesterday 00:11 KI5MLR: New to reticulum. checking out the page. very nice! looking forward to helping do my part in building our own personally owned infrastructure.
T969389yesterday 13:52 Point_Me_@_The_Sky: i'm a homelabber/sysop finally getting into reticulum (still just over TCP for now.) been helping expand out the Florida mesh on MT/MC and now that microReticulum is getting a bit more steam behind it I'm hoping to help seed the LoRa buildout here. would love tips/experience from you
T969389yesterday 13:51 Point_Me_@_The_Sky: i like the data-first approach y'all talk about below. much easier to deal with a device theft or other disaster when you know everything important is mirrored in four different places
T969389yesterday 13:49 Point_Me_@_The_Sky: hello mesh folk
T969389yesterday 13:43 Ta6a49eBorwatch Ta6a49e[matrix]: I switched about a month ago. it takes some getting used to. If you are using it on your main phone and still need all the normie stuff it takes a bit more effort.

T96938916.08.2026 20:07 Ta6a49elia276 Ta6a49e[matrix]: It’s information dense and I’m so impressed with the way he lays everything out in the modules with the info and then the little quizzes. Still really new to this and there’s some additional research I have to do on the side but it’s awesome. Just about wrapped up with 00 but the KeepassXC and Syncthing is giving me some trouble. That and I kept messing with firewall on and off because I couldn’t download some things and then figured out the Mullvad VPN was the issue for some reason. Phone <truncated>
T96938916.08.2026 09:26 Guest: reticlum relay chat looks worth a go though for live items.
T96938916.08.2026 09:26 Guest: for group chat I wound up sticking with IRC (only accessible by authenticated bouncer, tls enc of course) matrix just seemed heavy
